Megan

Megan is the odd one out at Yorkshire Dales Trekking Centre as she is the only trekking pony with not a scrap of Dales Pony in her. Megan is more than a worker, she is family pet as she was bought long before Yorkshire Dales Trekking Centre came into being.

The fact that she doesn't have hairy feet and long mane and tail doesn't worry her at all and she is more than willing to lead a line of Dales ponies out on a trek or bring up the rear to keep them in order. She has a very sweet nature and is a pleasure to ride. Megan is a favourite on the school and gives lessons both to beginners and the more experienced riders who want to improve their riding skills.

Megan is the matriarch of the group, being the oldest pony at YDTC but she doesn't assert her authority, preferring to keep away from any disputes.
