THOROUGHBRED, DARK BAY WITH A SMALL STAR |
TEEBS as she is nicknamed (derived from TB for thoroughbred) is a genuinely sweet natured filly. She looks so delicate next to all the stocky hairy dales ponies as she has really long slender legs and the finest coat. We hope that she'll be fast as she's a YDTC project that's not intended for trekking but for racing. Jim (the person) has always dreamed of owning and training a racehorse and we're hoping that Teebs will fulfil this dream when she's old enough. In fact its this dream which is making naming her such a problem. When naming our homebreds, its always been so easy, the name almost presents itself. However as the racing industry has a tradition of allowing owners to name their horses and so breeders leave their horses unnamed, somehow it puts more pressure on naming this filly. That is, she's waited so long for a name, it feels like we have to give her a great one! But it doesn't want to be too big a name to live up to either - what a conundrum! Perhaps you'll all have to help us out and write your suggestions on a postcard!
