BAY WITH STAR, VERY SMALL WHITE MARKING TO LEFT FORELEG AND SOCKS ON BOTH HIND LEGS |
Trooper came to YDTC at the same time as Willy, both from the same breeder. Trooper is a lovely bright bay Dales. He was a gangly underweight pony, who needed to grown into his frame. He had spent two years at his breeders living out in the fields and has had little contact with humans, so was quite wary at first, preferring to keep some distance between himself and the two legged beings who kept leading ponies backward and forwards. Eventually his curiosity got the better of him and he decided humans weren't so bad after all. He is now a friendly chap who loves to be stroked and fussed. He likes to blow on your face, and when it comes to licking out his bucket he has the longest tongue in the world. Until he is old enough to start training he is keeping baby StormCat and thoroughbred yearling company. We have great hopes for Trooper and hope he will be another "Jim" in the making as he reminds us a lot about Jim when he was a young fella. When you visit the yard, make sure you ask whether Trooper is about as the more fuss he gets the more settled he'll become!
