Willy joined the herd at YDTC during the summer, coming to us from his breeder's home in County Durham. He had already been broken to drive, but not ridden under saddle. Once Willy had got used to his new surroundings, he quickly adjusted to being ridden. He is a trusting, confident pony, very quick to learn, and is very brave when experiencing new challenges. When not working Willy likes nothing better than indulging in a bit of "horseplay" with his Dales buddies, and thoroughly enjoys being one of the gang. In all his work he has enjoyed being anywhere in the trek line, happy to lead or follow. Willy is a friendly pony, loves being petted and fussed, and we're sure he will become a firm favourite with riders during 2007.
